Argentina Uncorked

[ March 24, 2014 to April 30, 2014. ] El Techo de Lolinda
Wednesday, April 30th, 5-8pm

From the land of gauchos, grilled meats, tango and sunshine also comes a bounty of extraordinary wine. Argentina is currently the world’s sixth largest producer and quickly making a big splash in the world wine scene. This intimate exploration of Argentine wine is limited to 150 guests.

We’re thrilled to introduce the Uncorked community to El Techo de Lolinda, a stunning Argentine inspired panoramic rooftop perch in the heart of the Mission district. Vibrant tango sounds will set the mood as you sip, savor and soak in the exceptional view. Check out the wine-fueled pictures from last year’s festive South American tasting at the Fairmont Hotel.

You’ll experience a vast array of the most interesting and highly regarded wines from the premier importers and distributors of Argentine wine. Join this tour of all of major wine regions including the Mendoza Valley (the heart and soul of Argentine wine), Salta (high elevation sensations) and Patagonia (cooler climate gems). You will sample a wide selection of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Bonarda, Torront├ęs, Chardonnay and a veritable cornucopia of Malbec.

El Techo is the heated and covered open-air rooftop restaurant above Lolinda. Offering sweeping city views, pan-Latin American casual cuisine, and crafty classic cocktails, they are the perfect venue for a celebration or as a compliment to a dinner at the Mission’s finest steakhouse. Fun food, festive cocktails “del Sol” and the best rooftop skyline in San Francisco.

El Techo will have authentic Argentine bites available for sale throughout the tasting to perfectly complement the wines. We also encourage you to make a post event reservation for an Argentine feast at Lolinda, or stick around the rooftop for lighter fare (reservations not required).
