Napa vs. Sonoma Showdown
The Rivalry
Famous rivalries are as old as time, like the Hatfield and McCoys or the Giants and Dodgers. Just to our North, we have one of the most distinguished rivalries between two neighboring regions, both much lauded for their distinctive, world-class wines.  We are talking about the long-running, though friendly, rivalry between Napa and Sonoma wineries.
The Challenge
At the first ever Napa vs. Sonoma Showdown, you will have the unique opportunity to try over forty of the finest wines from each region (eighty+ total). Twenty of the best wineries in the state will be on hand as we playfully pit pairs against each other with you as the final judge. Make your voice known on April 14th – do you lean Napa or Sonoma?
The Wines
Top Napa and Sonoma wineries will be on hand to meet this challenge with great gusto – and amazing wines. You will sample the legendary cabernet sauvignons of Napa Valley and the equally praised Sonoma pinots from the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast. Perhaps each region has a respective advantage with those two varietals, but when it comes to chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, syrah and zinfandel it may just be too close to call. Again, that’s where you come in.
The Wineries
The Napa line-up includes: Barnett Vineyards, Blackbird Vineyards, Darioush, Dominus, Duckhorn, Kenefick Ranch, Krupp Brothers, Napanook, Pahlmeyer, Paraduxx, Silver Oak, Steltzner Vineyards, Terra Valentine and Verasion.
The Sonoma line-up includes: Chronicle Wines, Fisher Vineyards, Fort Ross, Freeman Wines, Lioco, Medlock-Ames, Novy, Olson-Ogden, Ridge Vineyards, Seghesio, Siduri, Sol Rouge and VIE. You won’t find a better line-up of California wineries in one room all year.
The Extras
AG Ferrari will be on hand presenting an impressive display of artisanal cheeses, cured meats, olives and breads. And keeping it lively, DJ Sol will be crafting his signature chill-out beats to set the mood.
