North vs. South - The Pinot Noir Showdown
Pinot Noir is hot for a reason - it is versatile, elegant and often epiphany-inducing. From its humble beginnings in France, the variety is now being planted all over the world. Some of the very finest examples are from California and Oregon. But which state reigns for your palate? Do you like the up-front, fruit driven California style, or Oregon’s more subtle, earth-influenced approach?

In this intimate, sit-down seminar, former Wine Spectator star-educator will guide you through a journey of three California and three Oregon Pinot Noirs, highlighting the differences and similarities. Find out which you like best and why. You may be surprised. And yes, you will have to blind taste two wines at the end and see if you can differentiate the two regions! As always, we just may have a surprise wine or two and perhaps even a guest Pinot winemaker present.
