South American Supstars: The Wines of Argentina & Chile

THE ULTIMATE SETTING
Our first summer tasting event takes us back to our most popular venue ever – The Officer’s Club in Upper Fort Mason overlooking Alcatraz and Aquatic Park. We will transport you far away to enjoy the amazing wines of South America. Chile and Argentina are making some of the most important wines in the world – all with extraordinary quality-to-value.

Join us as we sample over 100 top wines in this historic bay view location. In addition to a wide variety of wines, light hors d’oevres will also be provided. Check out photos from previous South American wine events.

THE WINES
You will be taken on a tour of Chile’s main wine regions including the Maipo, Colchagua and Casablanca Valley’s, while savoring Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and a wonderful varietal – Carmenère – that you may not have had.

Argentina’s main wine regions border Chile in the foothills of the Andes, with the Mendoza Valley being the most prominent. You will try Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Torrontés and LOTS of Malbec – the most important and impressive grape of Argentina.
