Can’t You Hear, Can’t You Hear The Thunder?
While the SF summer will be ending soon, we can pretend we’re in southern hemisphere heat on December 16th. Uncorked Events will transport you to the warm beaches of Australia & beyond for a very festive holiday celebration.

We won’t have shrimp on the barbi or Men at Work performing (though you never know with us), but we will introduce you to over 100 of the best wines from Australia & New Zealand. And because one can’t live on wine alone, we’re adding tasting stations featuring the best beers from these two countries - for pleasure and hydration!

No Vegemite, Just Great Wine
These two countries represent extraordinary quality to value wines and are always crowd pleasers. You will try many different wines including a wide array of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Chardonnay and Riesling from Australia and Pinot Noir, Merlot, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. Did you also know that Australia makes world-class dessert wines? Or that Tasmania is home to great Pinot & Bubbly (as well as devils of course!)?

The Officer’s Club at 1 Fort Mason, once again sets an appropriately beautiful stage for these gorgeous and fun-loving wines. Come experience the historical splendor of this hidden gem - complete with sweeping bay and Alcatraz views! And while the Aussies & Kiwis may be a pretty laid back bunch, they will knock your socks off with the quality, precision and care of their wine making.

Rounding out the night will be an incredible gourmet cheese spread and hearty hors d’oeuvres from A.G. Ferrari and the smooth sounds of DJ Sol.
