Our world tour of the best wine regions in world continues as we discover the overwhelming bounty of amazing and diverse wines from Italy. No other country makes more wine than Italy, and they drink a lot too - 14.51 Gallons per person annually!
For this special event, we have gathered some of the very best Italian wine importers in the country to show-off a wide array of regions and styles.
You’ll have the opportunity to sample over 50 wines from every corner of Italy from the hearty reds of Piedmont (Barolo, Barbaresco), to the food friendly reds of Tuscany (Chianti, Brunello), to the vibrant, zingy whites of Friuli, Trentino-Alto Adige and the Veneto (Tocai, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio), spectacular rustic wines from Sardinia and Sicily — and everything in between.
As wine and food in Italy are inextricably linked, we’ll have a selection of Italian artisan cheeses and meats on hand from AG Ferrari. DJ Sol will be spinning smooth Italian lounge inspired grooves to further set the mood.
And where will we be tasting all of these Italian wines? In North Beach of course! The brand new, retro-chic chic nightclub Apartment 24 provides the perfect backdrop for this evening of sensational wines, cool music and interesting people. Even better, most wines from the event will be available for purchase through Wine.com.
